Meet the Delegates: SuperSizer

John MacLaverty is a Producer/Director who – along with his partner – runs a small Indie called
Indelible Telly. The Glasgow based company has been in existence for the past 5 years, though John
has been working in the TV mines for over 20 years – both at the BBC, Indies and for all the main
channels. Specialising in Scottish social history – especially pop culture and entertainment – John
has just finished his very first Feature Length Documentary.

Imogen boasts over 15 years of experience in production and development. With
producing credits spanning a diverse range of shows, from prime-time hits like ITV2’s “The
Only Way is Essex” to feature series such as Channel 4’s “Body-shockers”.

Over the past 5 years, Imogen has honed her career in development. She has consistently engaged with
a broad spectrum of genres and played a pivotal role in securing commissions, including BBC 2’s
“Ultimate Wedding Planner” and Channel 4’s “Britain’s Tourette’s Mystery: Scarlett
Moffatt Investigates”. 

She recently spent over two years as a Development Exec at Full Fat TV helping broaden their slate with new commissions including Channel Five’s “A&E: Crash Scene Emergency.”

Imogen’s TV aspirations have always been the same – to create shows that people talk about for all the right reasons! Her previous roles include stints at Firecracker, BBC Studios, Keshet UK, Lime, and Shine North.

Connie is a Development Producer and has been working full-time in development for 3
years now, working across an array of genres. Specialising in youth-skewing content, Connie also
works predominantly on features and factual entertainment formats and true crime. Connie has most
recently been working as Story Producer on the second series of her returnable obs-doc/reality show,
‘The Agency: Unfiltered’, and loves being able to work across both production and
development. Her goal is to create a bold returnable factual entertainment format that when you say
the title, everyone knows what you’re talking about!

Megan started her development career at Emporium Productions in 2017. With a strong
track record of gaining access to incredible institutions and people, Megan devised and produced
blue-light series 999: Britain From Above for ITV1.

She moved to Manchester in 2019 and has worked in development teams across the North including at
Blakeway North, BBC Studios and The Garden Yorkshire, helping to secure popular returnable series
for Channel 5, BBC and UKTV.

She specialises in factual entertainment, talent-led factual and formats and is currently developing
an exciting and fresh slate for Salamanda Media.

Kate recently moved back to Northern Ireland after 18 years in London working in
development and production at some of the biggest indies in the UK (BBC Studios, Endemol Shine,
Optomen, Renegade, Youngest Media).

Kate has originated/co-originated several Fact Ent formats and returning series including Mary
Queen of Charity Shops (BBC2), Filth (RTL2), Secret Shopper
(Channel4), and most recently Clive Myrie’s Italian Roadtrip (BBC2).

Among her programme making credits, Kate has produced and directed on network series including
The Apprentice (BBC1), Bodyshockers (C4) and Secret Eaters (C4).

Now back home, Kate is working with the brilliant team at Alleycats with a shared goal of developing
returning unscripted series created and made in Northern Ireland.

Fiona has worked in factual television for over twenty years, producing factual
entertainment and documentary series for all the major broadcasters, including The
Apprentice for BBC One, This Farming Life for BBC Two and Class of Mum and
Dad for Channel 4.

She is an Executive Producer at Ricochet Glasgow and is currently overseeing the long running Channel
4 series, Sun, Sea and Selling Houses.

Throughout her career, Fiona has worked in both production and development and has helped win
commissions for IWC Media and BBC Studios.

Fiona is passionate about the growth and success of production in the Nations & Regions and is
focused on supersizing Ricochet’s Glasgow base.

Kate is a producer originally from The Scottish Highlands, who’s passionate about watching, developing and making great television.

She has been working in development since 2022, and prior to this produced a range of primetime programmes including C4’s ‘The Moneymaker’, BBC1’s Gordon Ramsay’s ‘Future Food Stars’ and ‘Our Great Yorkshire Life’ for Channel 5.

Previously she has created a broad range of content for both broadcasters and YouTube channels and has worked on household favourites from ‘Question Time’ to ‘Come Dine With Me’.

Claire entered the industry in 2012 via ‘Future Formats’, run by BBC Worldwide. From a
background in supporting victims of domestic violence, the transferable skills that were relevant,
particularly having difficult conversations, building trust and problem solving, were soon evident.

With development as her natural habitat, she has since taken ideas including primetime factual pieces
for ITV and BBC2 from top line concept through to greenlight, and often into production. Recent
credits include The Queen & Her Cousins with Alexander Armstrong and I’m An
Alcoholic: Inside Recovery.

Whether it’s tracing extended royal family members, interviewing the retired Yorkshire Ripper case
constables, or securing access to Alcoholics Anonymous UK, Claire loves to bring incredible stories
to life.

Hollie is the Director of Development at Cardiff-based Boom – part of the ITV
Studios group. She oversees a broad slate of network and internationally focused factual and fact
ent formats, that range from medical rig-shows to talent-led travelogues, bold new reality concepts
to supersized competition formats.

She is a development specialist having worked at a wide range of companies including Zinc Media,
Firecracker, Keshet and STV.

Her credits include Stacey Dooley Sleeps Over (W), Big Zuu’s Big
Eats (Dave), Hot Cakes (BBC Three/CBC Gem/TVNZ), Alan
Carr’s Adventures with Agatha Christie (More4) Adults Only (5Star)
and upcoming Our Little Farm on the Prairie (C5) and Who Will Love My
Doggy? (Channel 5)

Rosie is a Development Producer at Motif Pictures in Gateshead, where she works
across their varied slate of projects, from scripted comedy and drama to documentaries and factual
entertainment formats. Rosie is especially interested in developing scripted content set in the
nations & regions. Before joining Motif, she completed her Master’s in Screenwriting in LA and
worked as an Executive Producer at Titan TV, where she developed three short-form factual
entertainment shows and one roundtable news show, which were released on public broadcast channels
across Southern California. Previously, Rosie worked at Channel 4 in their Traffic team.

Rachel first got the bug for coming up with creative ideas, clinching access and
finding fresh talent and stories when working as Forward Planning AP for Countryfile.

Since then, Rachel has held a number of increasingly senior positions in development at a range
independent, regional production companies across Bristol, Manchester and Leeds, and played a key
role winning several commissions and funded developments from broadcasters such as Channel 4, BBC,
E4 and Discovery+.

Having most recently joined Afanti Media as their new Head of Development in Cardiff, Rachel loves
nothing more than writing and designing creative pitches, puzzling out formats and coming up with
creative – sometimes off-the-wall – ideas for new fact, features and lightly constructed ob-doc
series.

Jackie has extensive experience developing and producing factual and children’s
content. Co-founding Maramedia in 2010 she has jointly overseen the company’s growth into an
award-winning Scottish production company.

She was lead producer on the company’s Emmy-nominated Highlands series (narrated by Ewan
McGregor) and recent credits include Chasing the Rains for Sky Nature and the upcoming
Scotland the New Wild for BBC Scotland & Terra Mater Factual studios. With a particular
passion for nature storytelling, Jackie has been developing genre-defying formats like
Autumnwatch and Gudrun the Viking Princess for more than 15 years. More recently
she developed and exec-produced 2 series of Olga da Polga – a new CBeebies drama based on
Michael Bond’s eponymous Guinea Pig hero.

David has worked across both production and development over the past 10 years,
with a real focus on factual entertainment and comedy entertainment formats.

Currently a Senior Development Producer at Tern TV, past Producer/Senior Development Producer roles
span BBC Studios Factual Entertainment, Two Rivers Media and Beezr Studios, with time spent cutting
his teeth at companies like Hungry Bear, 12 Yard, Objective, Remedy and BBC Children’s.

Recent and past commissions include the feel-good travelogue Martin Compston’s Norwegian
Fling (BBC Two), daytime DIY show Tool Club (CH4), and youth-skewing adventure
format Wild Weekends (BBC Three).

He is passionate about championing regional and working-class voices within the industry and wants to
help continue the growth of Tern’s entertainment arm – developing strong global returning formats
right from Glasgow.

Dawn has been making TV programmes for over two decades – making documentaries and
arts programmes. Additionally, Dawn has several years as a development producer under her belt – she
is at home creating both fact ent formats, factual series and documentaries. She is currently
working at Beezr on an ambitious and diverse slate for broadcasters in the UK and beyond.
