Meet the Delegates: Film FastTrack

Film FastTrack is our newest development programme aimed at supporting talented
scripted Film Producers in Scotland.

The two-year development programme, funded by Screen Scotland, was designed
with course leader Julia Short to boost the careers of ambitious scripted Film Producers.

Film FastTrack will enable the producers to focus on their slate and develop
relationships with new writing and directing talent. Delegates will benefit from bespoke training sessions and
monthly check-ins, as well as a combination of in person and online masterclasses, including script development,
finance, business coaching, and negotiation sessions.

Amy Jackson’s production credits range from Charlotte Well’s BAFTA winning debut Aftersun to Graham Moore’s
directorial debut The Outfit.

Ken Petrie produced the WW2 historical action drama Enemy Within, as well as George Jaques’ debut feature
Black Dog.

Paul Murray is a BAFTA Scotland, RTS and Banff Rocky award-winning producer with over 20 years of experience. Paul
has focussed the last three years on building an impressive slate of original scripted work.

Selected by Screen International as a ‘Rising Star Scotland’, Reece Cargan’s slate includes award winning shorts
focused on LGBTQIA+ stories & voices such as J.C. Goessens’ Everyman.

Amy Jackson Headshot

Amy Jackson

Amy Jackson is an Independent Spirit Award & British Independent Film Award winning,
BAFTA & Gotham Award nominated film and television producer. Credits include: Sean Durkin’s
2020 critically acclaimed feature The Nest; Oscar-winner Graham Moore’s directorial debut
The Outfit; and Charlotte Wells’ 2022 break-out debut Aftersun. In 2020, Jackson
established feature and television company, Unified Theory. The company is focused on finding and
growing distinctive new voices, and developing original stories in film and television for global
audiences. Most recently Jackson produced Mahalia Belo’s debut feature The End We Start From,
which will receive its world premiere at TIFF 2023.

Ken Petrie headshot

Ken Petrie

Ken is the founder and CEO of 27 Ten Productions. Having initially entered the industry as an SFX
Technician and Explosives Engineer working on major studio films, Ken transitioned by producing
several award-winning short films which all signed global distribution deals. Ken produced the WW2
historical action drama, Enemy Within, based on a true story which filmed at Pinewood
Studios in Malaysia. More recently, Ken produced Screen Star of Tomorrow George Jaques’ debut
feature, Black Dog. Ken’s slate includes Jaques’ next film, Sunny Dancer; Ten
Times Dead
(with development funding from Screen Scotland); time-travel thriller
Flashback
set-up with The Exchange; and musical dance comedy, Dancing With the
Scars.

Paul Murray

Paul Murray is a BAFTA Scotland, RTS and Banff Rocky award-winning producer with over 20 years of UK
and International television experience. He has worked in scripted and non-scripted production in
many of the biggest production companies in the UK- including Endemol, Objective, IWC and True
North. As creator of C4’s long running and multi-award winning series Location, Location,
Location,
as well as the BBC’s Antiques Road Trip and its Celebrity spin-offs, he
has created many of the longest lasting and most successful network series produced from Scotland.
In addition to his network production credits, he has lectured about format production and
development in China, the University of Westminster and various Scottish Institutions. He is
co-owner of production entity Boy 313 and a fine art graduate from Glasgow School of Art

Reece Cargan headshot

Reece Cargan

Reece is an RTS award winning producer and founder of Bombito productions. Reece was selected by
Screen International as a ‘Rising Star Scotland’ and has represented Scotland at IFFR Producer’s
Lab, BFI Insight and EAVE Producer’s Workshop. Reece solidified his producing skills with
multiple award winning shorts as producer and with regular production work across features, TV
and commercials. Bombito have a number of TV and feature projects in commissioned development.
Reece – as the Bombito slate attests, is passionate about working with the next generation of
queer UK talent, with a focus on intersectional LGBTQIA+ stories & voices.
