TRC Network Briefing: Sue Murphy, ITV

We’re excited to welcome ITV’s Head of Factual Entertainment, Sue Murphy, to Glasgow in November. Sue’s commissions for the channel include The Real Full Monty, An Hour to Catch a Killer and most recently Gordon,Gino and Fred: Road Trip.

Sue will be discussing ITV’s current commissioning strategy for Fact Ent, and opportunities with the channel.

SUE MURPHY

Sue Murphy is currently Head of Factual Entertainment at ITV; her previous roles include Head of Factual Entertainment and Features Channel 4, Head of Factual Entertainment Channel 5 and Creative Director and Co-Managing Director Optomen TV. 

At ITV Sue’s commissions include The Real Full Monty and The Real Full Monty Ladies Night, The Queen’s Green Planet, the successful Crime and Punishment Strand (including  An Hour To Catch A Killer, James Bulger: A Mother’s Story and Gordon Ramsay on Cocaine) as well as Easy Jet: Inside The Cockpit, What Would Your Kid Do? and most recently, Gordon,Gino and Fred: Road Trip.

Previously whilst at Channel 4 Sue was responsible for commissioning award-winning and commercially successful series and brands including Embarrassing Bodies, Gordon Ramsay’s F Word, Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, Heston’s Feasts, How to Look Good Naked, The Sex Education Show, Supersize vs Superskinny and Obsessive-Compulsive Cleaners. Sue and her department were also responsible for My Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, Undercover Boss and the influential Food Fight seasons including Hugh’s Chicken Run, Ramsay’s Shark Bait and Hugh’s Fish Fight.
