Abigail has been working in development for the past six years, specialising in factual entertainment
formats. With a raft of exciting commissions under her belt, she is passionate about creating
returnable formats with international appeal while championing TV production in the Nations and
Regions.

Scotch!

Awarded a place in the ‘Top 100 Ones to Watch’ at the Edinburgh TV Festival Alistair was snapped up
by award-winning Director Don Coutts’ of Scotch! He has helped produce countless hours of Factual
and Fact Ent content and is now at the forefront of the drive towards network and international
commissions for Scotch!

Screenhouse

Barbara is based at award-winning Screenhouse, which celebrating 30 years as an indie, producing
multiple network series for Channel 4 and BBC amongst others. Barbara is particularly passionate
about making films about women and under-represented people.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Can’t wait to meet other developers in person as it can be a bit of a solitary gig. It’ll be great to
get the creative recharge that comes with it.

True TV and Film

Barbara Orton is an independent producer and founder of the Bafta winning True TV and Film based in
Glasgow, making factual and documentary for UK and International markets. Winning a Bafta with her
first documentary ‘In Cuba They’re Still Dancing’ for BBC she has made many films both in UK and
Spain.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

I’m looking forward to talking ideas with some brilliant people and making new connections in the
process.

Plimsoll

Becky Morrison is a Senior Development Producer at Bristol-based Plimsoll Productions, one of the
fastest growing true indies in the UK, working both with British and international buyers to create
premium content across Natural History, Specialist Factual, Documentary, Factual Entertainment and
Drama.

Danny Rawling

Two Rivers Media

Danny joined Two Rivers Media in 2019 and specialises in entertainment and formats but develops ideas
for commissioners from across the genre spectrum. Two Rivers Media is a fast-growing multi-genre
independent production company, founded by MD Alan Clements and headquartered in Glasgow that aims
to create compelling content in factual, factual entertainment, entertainment and scripted.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

The opportunity to meet other developers from across the country, both fellow Supersizers and experts
and exchange ideas and development techniques, learn from their experiences and ultimately become a
better developer as a result.

BAFTA nominated producer Ed has delivered ground-breaking series from the most extreme places on
earth. As joint MD of new Scottish Indie, Fearless Television Ed has developed a slate of ideas for
the UK market and won Fearless its first returnable series. ‘The Motorway’ for Channel 5.

Signpost

Gareth works for Signpost which started life as an access-service provider but, over the past four
years, has built itself to be a leading producer in the North East. He is responsible for the shape
and direction of their content and the development of new ideas and talent.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Stepping away from the day-to-day to focus on how to improve how I work. I’m also looking forward to
meeting the other delegates and sharing our different experiences.

Strident Media

Kelda is MD of Belfast’s Strident Media. Since 2013 she’s overseen the development and production of
more than 200 hours of documentaries and factual series for BBC, RTÉ, TG4, Virgin and UTV. In 2021,
Strident was selected as a Channel 4 Emerging Indie and secured its first commission with the
broadcaster.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Connecting with other people who work in development. I can’t wait to share what I learn with the
Strident team so we can get more ideas across the line!

Avanti Media

Naomi is responsible for ensuring that the development direction, focus and targets are in line
strategically at Avanti Media. She was a key player behind some of Avanti’s most recent commissions
and successes, like Live Drawing Live! with Joe Lycett for BBC2.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Gaining exposure and developing relationships with commissioners that are looking for big, bold and
ambitious ideas from the nations and regions – and getting to know this year’s cohort of and
inspiring each other to keep on creating!

Blackwatch TV

Nicola has worked for over 20 years as a Producer/Director in Network Television, across a range of
genres and is now working as a freelance Development Executive. Her exceptional track record
includes originating factual series, Music & Arts programmes as well as singles and feature
documentaries, most recently for Hopscotch Films.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Meeting a group of like-minded people who are passionate about creating great TV ideas.

Salamanda Media

Freelance Development Exec Paul is passionate about Fact Ent & Docs and currently works at
Salamanda Media. Formed during lockdown by Sally Evans and Amanda De Freitas Salamanda recently won
backing through Channel 4’s indie growth fund.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Learning about different ways to release mine and my teams creativity and developing my presenting
techniques. I am also looking forward to learning from such well regarded industry experts and
taking in other creatives points of views and experience.

BAFTA Scotland winning Development Exec Ryan is the creative mind behind the innovative children’s
format, Last Commanders. Now at the ambitious Scottish indie, Beezr Studios, Ryan is tasked with
leading the Development on exciting new formats and expanding the company’s reach and scale.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

Speaking to experienced and renowned programme makers, furthering my abilities in creating impactful
and returnable formats, and sharing a valuable learning experience with other television creatives.

Over a 30 year media career, 25 as a TV Producer and Senior Executive, Seumas has established a
reputation as a talented and creative individual, who delivers across a range of programming, with
multi-platform experience across the creative industries. Currently Head of Development &
Co-productions / Commissions, at multi-award winning MacTV, Seumas has led the drive for new
opportunities – both in the UK and internationally.

What are you most looking forward to with SuperSizer?

The many opportunities including access to network commissioners, and building and developing these
relationships, and creating new networks. Being inspired by other creatives working in development
is also a big draw, as is the opportunity to learn new skills and challenge the way I’ve been
working, and explore new, and different techniques and approaches to developing ideas.
