Happy New Year, folks!
The office Christmas tree has been dismantled and our shiny new diaries are on the desk. Last year was a busy one for us (check out our highlights of our 20th year here) and 2019 promises to be just as exciting. With brand new training programmes, international trips and plenty of events coming up, it was time to welcome some new faces to Team TRC.
A very big welcome to Caroline Gorman and Suzanne Lord, who have joined Team TRC as Project Mangers. Caroline will be taking the reins on Rad and Cross Creative, while Suzanne will be leading on Special Edition and International Horizons (keep your eyes peeled for more info on the latter!)
Here’s a bit more about our new hires…
Caroline’s fifteen-year career in the creative industries has spanned Music, Events and most recently Television Post Production. She has served on the board of SMIA (Scottish Music Industry Association) and is one of the founding directors of Screen Facilities Scotland. Recently she headed up an independent music production company which saw her manage a diverse range of productions across the UK and US. Caroline is passionate about the creative industries and has chaired and participated on panels for the likes of BAFTA, PRS for Music and the Edinburgh Film Festival, and delivered guest lectures to students across various colleges and universities.
Suzanne has worked in the media for almost twenty years. Starting out at BBC Shetland, Suzanne’s career has taken her all over the world, from standing in muddy fields covering stories on erupting volcanoes in Iceland for BBC News to producing reports on the drought in Kenya for CBBC’s Newsround. A highlight in Suzanne’s career has been time at the BBC Academy as Training Editor for TV News, creating and implementing training and development for journalists old and new. She’s worked as Chair and judge for RTS Scotland and is currently a mentor for the John Schofield Trust. Suzanne joins TRC from STV and will be project managing Special Edition and International Horizons.
Welcome to Team TRC! Meet the rest of the team here.
