TRCmedia are excited to announce the successful candidates of a new training programme for development executives working in factual, factual entertainment and specialist factual in the Nations and Regions of the UK.
SuperSizer: Big Ideas for Returning Series is aimed at independent television production companies looking to win high value commissions and develop ideas of scale for the next big returning series. Funded by Channel 4, BBC, Creative Scotland and Scottish Enterprise, the six month training programme will address the importance of training Development Executives as specialists who can turn television businesses around.

The first SuperSizer session will take place on Wednesday 25th October and will be followed by five monthly one-day training sessions at TRCmedia premises in Glasgow. Delivered by professional trainers, commissioners and leading development executives, SuperSizer will address three key areas: the role of the development executive, the commissioner and creative thinking skills.
Top level commissioners from BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 will travel to Glasgow to meet with the selected development executives. Confirmed names include: Channel 4’s Tim Hancock (Features and Daytime) and Lucy Leveugle (Factual Entertainment), BBC’s Michael Jochnowitz (Popular Factual and Factual Entertainment) and Danny Horan (Documentaries), and Channel 5’s Ben Frow (Director of Programmes) and Sean Doyle (Commissioning Editor).
