New Board Members Announced

We are delighted to have appointed four new board members to TRC. Please read our full press release below.

Glasgow-based training organisation TRC has strengthened its Nations and Regions focus with the appointment of four new board members from across the UK.

The new board members are:

  • Jane Kelly (Creative Director, Big Mountain)
  • Kieran Doherty (CEO and Co-founder of Stellify Media)
  • Nia Thomas (Managing Director, Boom Cymru)
  • Norma Wisnevitz (Chief Operating Officer, True North)

These appointments solidify TRC’s commitment to supporting the Nations and Regions, alongside valuable, relevant and industry-focussed training and events which directly reflect the needs of the industry.

Hosting their first ever online course in 2020, TRC has gone from strength-to-strength training over 400 delegates from across the Nations and Regions in the past year alone.

Specifically, TRC has engaged with a total of 30 companies on their long-form programmes SuperSizer (for ambitious Development Executives) and Navigating the New Normal (for Senior Executives guiding their company through challenging times) and TRC Shorts (a range of interactive training courses focusing on personal development and business affairs). 2021 alumni include independent production company stalwarts such as True North, Synchronicity Films, Below the Radar and Bad Wolf.

In addition, over 370 individuals completed a variety of short professional development courses on topics such as COVID protocols, Taking TV Development Online, Negotiation and Contract Issues.

Their success looks to continue in 2021 with International Horizons, a professional development course that aims to give indies a competitive edge on the global market, with a focus on Asia and North America with delegates from across the Nations and Regions.

True North’s COO Norma Wisnevitz commented;
