Jane Muirhead named Chair of TRC Board

Raise the Roof director to lead board in supporting creative talent throughout the UK.

The Managing Director of successful independent production company Raise the Roof Productions has been elected Chair of TRC – one of the UK’s top training providers for TV and Digital. The charity provides high-end training for individuals and businesses in Scotland and throughout the Nations and Regions.

Jane is Managing Director and co-founder of Raise the Roof Productions, where she is responsible for the strategic direction and overall running of the company.  She has overseen the company’s growth to become one of the fastest growing Indies in the UK and Channel 4’s biggest supplier in Scotland.

Jane joined the board of TRC in 2017 and takes on the role of Chair in the organisation’s 20th year, having been established in 1998 to train new talent and support the independent production sector.

Jane will lead the board which includes other influential figures from the Broadcast and Digital sectors: Lee Beattie (Wire), Helen Blenkinsopp (BBC), D-I Brown (BBC), Andrew Chitty (AHRC), Stuart Cosgrove (writer and broadcaster), Andrew Dobbie (MadeBrave) and newly appointed Angela Chan (Channel 4).
