On April 2nd 2026, we welcomed Sky Documentaries Commissioning Editor, Kathryn Taylor to Glasgow as part of our Commissioner Event series.
The Commissioners highlighted Sky Docs’ areas of interest for commissioning, bringing attention the company’s priorities and areas of opportunities for our Nations & Regions attendees. The session was then followed by audience questions and a series of one-to-ones with indies.

Kathryn Taylor is a seasoned television producer and currently serves as a Commissioning Editor for Sky Documentaries. With a career spanning over 25 years as a freelance producer, she has collaborated with a wide range of independent production companies to create compelling documentaries across diverse genres, including natural history, archaeology, biography, investigative journalism, and true crime. Her deep industry experience and editorial insight now guide her role at Sky, where she oversees the development and delivery of high-quality factual programming for Sky’s UK audiences.
