Head of Commissioning, Lifestyle & Entertainment, Discovery UK & Ireland

Charlotte Reid is Head of Commissioning for the Lifestyle & Entertainment channels at Discovery Networks UK. In this role, Charlotte commissions content and oversees factual entertainment and lifestyle programming for Really, Quest Red, Food Network, Home, TLC and ID.

Charlotte’s recent commissions include the hit medical show The Bad Skin Clinic with new talent Dr Emma Craythorne, about to go into a second season; property renovation show Sarah Beeny’s Renovate Don’t Relocate, currently in its second run; Katie Price: My Crazy Life, about to hit a 4th series; TLC’s break out hit Vicky Pattison: The Break Up and the channel’s serial returner Curvy Brides Boutique; plus crime series Faking It: Tears of a Crime, and Paranormal Lockdown UK.

Charlotte works closely with top talent and has been instrumental in creating successful localised franchises, including Say Yes To The Dress Lancashire with Gok Wan, who Charlotte is also working with on a reboot of the lifestyle favourite, How to Look Good Naked.

Prior to joining Discovery in 2013, Charlotte Reid was head of factual entertainment at NBC, and previously executive producer at Maverick TV and CPL, producing shows including The Very Hungry Frenchman with Raymond Blanc for BBC2, My Naked Secret for TLC, How Clean Is Your House, You Are What You Eat, and How To Look Good Naked for Channel 4.
