TRCmedia is pleased to announce our latest training programme for TV professionals, supported by the High End TV Levy Fund, managed by Creative Skillset. The course is aimed at screen professionals looking to enhance their skills and make the move into the role of Line Producer for Drama. Working with industry experts and leading trainers, TRC will provide participants with first class training for experienced professionals looking to develop their careers as Line Producers.

What’s on offer?

The course will cover the essential training required to become a Line Producer, as well as the opportunity to experience the role first hand on a drama production. The programme will deliver participants training in three parts:

  • Glasgow:  An intensive week of training delivered by industry experts, taking place in Glasgow from 4th-8th December 2017. Training will cover areas ranging from scheduling and budgeting to time management and negotiation skills.
  • On the job learning: A mentoring or shadowing opportunity on a drama production, allowing the trainee to use skills learnt on the residential in a practical context.
  • Reflection and Next Steps: A two-day follow-up programme in March 2018 to address any additional needs as identified by placements/mentoring.
